Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is most well-known for her role as Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained lots of attention. As a California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. But, she decided to pursue a career as an actress. Her screen debut came in 2010 in one of the episodes from CBS series 'NCIS'. The actress made her debut on the big screen within a year in the biographical drama film "J Edgar". She was one of the top young actors in the industry over the next few several years. She was nominated in 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 because of her performance in NCIS. In 2013, for the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' It Comedy Series She was also nominated for a Young Artist Award. Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons, and she also appeared in several episodes in the fourth season. Her performance in the show was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
