Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known as the actress who played Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. As a California born, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. Later, however, Calvano decided to focus on an acting career. Her screen debut came in 2010 on an episode of the CBS series 'NCIS'. The following year her first major-screen debut made it into the biographical thriller production J Edgar. In subsequent seasons, she was able to establish herself among the top performers of the day. She received nominated in the Young Artist Award, Best Performance by an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress on a TV Series for her part in "NCIS". In 2013, her role as a guest on Disney XD's comedy 'Kickin' It' was nominated yet again for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the main cast of the show's initial three seasons, and also was a frequent guest on the final season. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom'.
